Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, recorded local tax revenue of Rp1.01 trillion up to early December 2025. This amount is the highest in the region's history, according to the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda).
Regent Asri Ludin Tambunan attributed the rise to bureaucratic reforms and improved revenue administration. Acting Head of Bapenda Edwin noted that collections jumped from about Rp700 billion in September to over Rp1 trillion within two months, reflecting collective effort across all local agencies.
The 2026 revenue target is set at Rp1.15 trillion, lower than the 2025 target of Rp1.26 trillion but considered realistic and balanced with regional expenditures. The target underscores a focus on sustainable fiscal management.
