Bireuen Tax Office Shifts Services to WhatsApp After Flood

The Bireuen Tax Office (KPP Pratama Bireuen) shifted most services to a WhatsApp Consultation channel after flash floods struck its jurisdiction in late November 2025. The channel, reachable at 0812‑1313‑0104, is intended for taxpayers who cannot visit the office in person.

The floods and landslides that began on 26 November 2025 disrupted access to the office, prompting the tax office to adjust protocols and prioritize digital channels. While some taxpayers were still served on the first day of the flood, subsequent requests were processed mainly via WhatsApp.

This adaptation helps maintain tax administration continuity and supports economic recovery in the flood‑affected regions. The office also participates in humanitarian aid for victims in Bener Meriah and Central Aceh, and aims to restore full services as infrastructure improves.
