JAKARTA, November 28, 2025 – Indonesia’s Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) reported that tax revenue collected in November and December 2025 amounted to 23 % of the year’s total receipt. The figure aggregates all tax types reported up to the end of December.
Based on historical trends, the DGT aims for a total receipt of IDR 2.076,9 trillion by year‑end, requiring 30 % to be collected in the final two months. Director General Bimo Wijayanto said audits, examinations and enforcement are usually completed at year‑end, which should help meet the target. To date, revenue up to October reached IDR 1.459 trillion, or 70.2 % of the outlook, reflecting a 7.1 % decline from the previous year.
Key taxes such as corporate income tax (down 9.6 %) and payroll tax (down 16 %) fell, while tax refunds grew 36.4 %, potentially affecting the 2025 state budget. The government will continue monitoring compliance and expects audit and withholding proof (Bukper) to be finalized in November‑December to stabilize revenue.
