JAKARTA – Economy Minister Airlangga Hartarto said on 30 November 2025 that Indonesia’s economy is projected to grow by 5.4 percent in 2026. The remarks were made during a press briefing at the State Palace.
Hartarto explained that the outlook rests on accelerated government spending, fiscal incentives, a reduction in the Bank Indonesia benchmark rate, and controlled inflation expectations. He noted that macro‑economic risks have already been priced into interest rates and exchange rates, indicating they are managed.
Achieving the 5.4‑percent growth could raise tax revenues, boost household purchasing power, and attract private investment. The government will monitor policy implementation throughout 2026 to ensure the target is met.
