79th Oeang Day: Finance Minister Urges Staff to Keep Public Trust
October 30, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa reminded all Ministry of Finance (MoF) staff to uphold public trust during the 79th Oeang Day ceremony in Jakarta. The event on 30 October 2025 marked 79 years since the issuance of the Republic of Indonesia’s currency (ORI).
Purbaya stressed that the MoF must be a trusted institution, because policies cannot succeed without confidence. He highlighted the theme “MoF United, Guarding National Goals,” calling for coordination between central and regional offices and referencing the government’s 8 percent economic growth target set by President Prabowo Subianto. Managing state revenue and spending through the State Budget (APBN) is intended to drive inclusive growth.
The reminder underscores staff’s role in maintaining economic stability and Indonesia’s economic sovereignty. By emphasizing public confidence, the government aims for fiscal measures that boost welfare and create jobs. Consistent implementation will be a key gauge of achieving the growth target.
