JAKARTA – The Ministry of Finance said that, as of September 2025, tax revenue amounting to 12.2 trillion rupiah has been allocated to school revitalization. A total of 11,600 schools from early childhood to high school levels have been renovated.
The school upgrades are part of the infrastructure allocation in the 2025 state budget, which totals 170.1 trillion rupiah, but only 42.3% has been spent so far, prompting an acceleration effort. The same budget also funds housing assistance, road construction, and rural electrification projects.
Revitalizing school facilities aims to improve public welfare and support sustainable development, while tax receipts constitute about 70% of Indonesia’s budget, underscoring the importance of tax compliance for public services.
