Purbaya Urges Local Governments to Discuss TKD Needs with DPR

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa urged regional governments to discuss their Transfer to Regions (TKD) needs with local DPR members. He made the remark during a working meeting of Committee IV of the DPD on Tuesday, 4 November 2025, in Jakarta.

Purbaya noted that many regions complain about the low TKD amounts because of insufficient communication with their DPR representatives. He said the central government could increase TKD allocations if regions improve budget absorption in Q4 2025 and Q1 2026.

The minister said faster regional spending would boost the national economy, especially in late 2025 and early 2026. A growth rate close to 6 percent could raise tax revenues, giving the state more fiscal space for budgeting.
