Pertamina and Government Inspect Java SPBU Over Motor Stalling

On 29 October 2025, drivers in Surabaya and surrounding areas reported that their motorcycles stalled after refueling with Pertalite. In response, Pertamina Patra Niaga and the Directorate General of Oil and Gas (Ditjen Migas) conducted on‑site inspections at multiple SPBU in East Java.

The inspection included laboratory analysis of Pertalite supplied from the Tuban and Surabaya terminals, as well as water‑content and visual tests at the stations. Results showed the fuel met national quality standards, and Lemigas confirmed no water contamination.

The joint action demonstrates the authorities’ commitment to consumer protection and to maintaining fuel quality. Consumers are urged to report any issues through the nearest SPBU or Pertamina Contact Center 135, while 15 complaint posts have been established in the region.
