LPG Quota Increased by 350,000 Tons Ahead of Nataru 2025

Jakarta, 29 November 2025 – The government will increase the subsidised LPG quota by 350,000 tons to meet demand ahead of the 2025 Christmas and New Year holidays. The addition was announced by Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia during a closed meeting chaired by President Prabowo Subianto.

The extra quota does not require new budget allocation because global gas prices are projected lower than the assumptions in the 2025 state budget. The LPG subsidy budget for 2025 is set at Rp82 trillion, with an expected actual spend of about Rp78 trillion.

The measure applies only to 2025; the 2026 quota will be aligned with that year’s subsidy ceiling. Details on targeted distribution are still under discussion by the Ministry of Energy and related agencies.
