Jakarta Governor Pushes PSN Status for Old Town Revitalisation
November 10, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

On 10 November 2025, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung met with Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto at the minister’s office. During the meeting, Pramono formally requested that the Old Town revitalisation and the construction of Sumber Waras Hospital be designated as a National Strategic Project (PSN).
He argued that PSN status would streamline licensing and enable cross‑sector coordination, allowing Old Town to become a hub for creative industries and tourism. The hospital, planned on a 3.6‑hectare site, would benefit from easier approvals to become a Class A (full‑service) facility with international standards.
Granting PSN status to both initiatives is expected to accelerate implementation, delivering improved health services and boosting Jakarta’s creative‑economy potential. Central and regional authorities will monitor the progress of the proposals.
