Indonesia's Ministry of Trade has set the export duty for crude palm oil (CPO) at US$74 per metric ton for the December 2025 period. The duty falls from US$124 per ton in November following a decline in the reference price to US$926.14 per ton.

The reference price is derived from the average of prices on the Indonesian and Malaysian CPO futures exchanges and the Rotterdam port market, applying a rule that uses the two closest sources when the spread exceeds US$40. The price drop is linked to weaker demand from major importers, lower prices of other vegetable oils, and a stronger U.S. dollar.

The reduced duty eases export cost pressures for CPO producers and aligns with the government's effort to adjust tariffs to global market conditions. Similar adjustments were made for cocoa beans and pine resin, reflecting a responsive regulatory approach.
