Customs Prepares 25 Million 2026 Tax Stamps Without Excise
December 10, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

Indonesia’s Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) is preparing 25 million tax‑stamp sheets of the 2026 design to meet industry demand early next year. The quantity rises from an initial stock of 17 million sheets earlier this year.
The stamps come in two categories – for cigarettes and for alcoholic beverages (MMEA) – with roughly 70 % allocated to cigarettes. DJBC ordered the entire batch from Perum Peruri and will deliver the first shipment to its headquarters after the Finance Ministry confirmed no tobacco excise (CHT) increase for 2026.
Maintaining excise rates and ensuring stamp availability should boost confidence among domestic cigarette manufacturers, potentially supporting higher production and sales in 2026. DJBC pledged to distribute the new stamps to businesses promptly.
