November 29, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

On 29 November 2025 the Indonesian Customs Authority carried out a Customs Visit Customer (CVC) to industrial sites, including those located in Special Economic Zones (KEK). The visit is part of an active effort by customs officers to engage directly with businesses.
The CVC program aims to ensure service ease and procedural certainty for companies. Visits included the Pematangsiantar office to PT Sheel Oil Indonesia (oleochemical), Tanjungpinang to PT Natural Essence Indonesia (ethanol and waste), and Parepare to PT Biota Laut Ganggang (bonded‑zone facility), offering compliance assistance, process monitoring, and explaining fiscal incentives such as duty suspension, excise exemption, and tax‑free import.
The initiative strengthens communication between customs and industry, supports national industrial growth, and may boost investment, job creation, and environmentally friendly practices through waste utilization.
