BGN and Himbara Sign MoU for MBG Kitchen Financing

The National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Danantara Investment Management (BPI), and state-owned banks that are members of the Himbara association signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 29 November 2025. The MoU sets out financing for the construction of Nutrition Service Units (SPPG) that will support the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.

The cross‑institution financing aims to speed up the establishment of about 14,000 SPPG currently in preparation, with a target to complete them by the end of December 2025. BGN head Dadan Hindayana explained that funds are transferred directly to virtual accounts of each SPPG in five Himbara banks, bypassing the Central Government Treasury (KPPN), with total flows reaching IDR 39 trillion.

Danantara’s CEO Rosan Perkasa Roeslani stressed the need for proper governance in fund allocation to ensure rapid yet transparent implementation. The collaboration is expected to improve the effectiveness of MBG distribution and reduce the risk of budget misuse.
